HOW TO MAKE LOW CARB CHINESE CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI

Keto Chinese Chicken and Broccoli

Heat the sesame and olive oils in a skillet over medium-high heat on the stove. Add the chicken to the heated skillet, and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side until completely cooked through and browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.

Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, reduce the heat to medium, and cover to steam until the broccoli is cooked to your liking.

CAN I USE FROZEN BROCCOLI IN THIS CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI RECIPE?

You can make this with frozen broccoli, but it needs to be completely thawed to make sure it doesn’t add any extra water to the recipe. I prefer making this with fresh broccoli.

In a bowl, mix together the chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar substitute, minced garlic and garlic paste until well combined.

Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli and chicken and toss to coat. If you would like a thicker sauce, sprinkle the xanthan gum into the sauce and stir before pouring into the skillet.

This looks just as good as broccoli chicken you would get at your favorite take out restaurant, with a fraction of the carbs.

WHAT CAN I SERVE WITH CHINESE CHICKEN AND RICE?

This works great served over riced cauliflower which you can buy pre-made in the freezer section of your grocery store. Be sure to adjust the carbs if you serve this with cauliflower rice.

HOW LONG CAN I STORE THIS IN THE REFRIGERATOR ONCE COOKED?

You can store leftovers in the refrigerator for 2 days, but the broccoli will not have the same bite to it when reheated.

EAT AT HOME MEAL PLANS

I am a big fan of  Eat At Home Meal Plans. They are perfect for a low carb or keto lifestyle. If you are stressed about the cost of eating out or trying to decide what to make for dinner each night, you’ll love them too. Sign up for the plans, and get access to 4 separate meal plans each month (Traditional, Wholesome Traditional, Slow Cooker, and No Flour/No Sugar). So even if your family is not following a keto plan, there are plenty of meal ideas for them as well.

All you have to do is print the plans, color-coded grocery lists, and recipes you want for the month. And there are so many options, even picky eaters will find something they like.

When it is time for dinner, make that night’s recipe (choices include make-ahead, freezer meals, slow-cooker recipes, and other time-saving strategies) and you are good to go.

I know you have more important things to do than meal planning. Let someone else do it for you with Eat At Home Meal Plans. Monthly, quarterly and annual plans are available.

Love, love this recipe! I added extra garlic and 1 Tbspn oyster sauce. I think next time I will cut down the soy sauce by 1/3.

Try using Liquid Aminos instead of soy sauce.

Hello, I thought soy sauce was a no no for keto? Can it be replaced w/ coconut aminos? Also, by chance do you have the nutritional information for this so I can put this in my macros counter?

This isn’t keto. Soy sauce contains soy and wheat all of which are not compliant with keto. Coconut aminos would be better suited to keep this recipe keto.
